The Strength Within

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."

Nelson Mandela

Sometimes the strength within isn’t a big fiery flame for all to see…

Strength in the context of grief is much different than most accepted definitions. It feels like intentionally allowing yourself to be wounded by having painful thoughts, emotions, and memories in the eye.

It’s about being brave, it means I am trying, it may even mean getting up in the morning and eating breakfast. It may feel the opposite of what the world defines strength to mean.

And then sometimes it’s just a tiny spark that whispers ever so softly….

“Keep going, you got this”
